Kelly Dorsey Insurance Services Last Updated: June 17, 2026
1. Introduction
Kelly Dorsey Insurance Services ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you visit our website at kdorseyins.com (the "Site") or contact us about insurance coverage.
By using our Site or submitting information to us, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways: directly from you when you contact us, and automatically through your use of our Site.
Information You Provide Directly
When you contact us through our website or inquire about insurance, we may collect:
- Your name (first and last)
- Email address
- Phone number
- Mailing address
- The nature of your inquiry or message
- Information needed to obtain quotes, such as details about your property, vehicles, or business operations
For commercial insurance inquiries, we may also collect business-related information such as your business name, industry, number of employees, and operating history.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our Site, we collect a limited set of privacy-respecting usage measurements through Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track or fingerprint individual visitors. This may include:
- General location (country/region level)
- Browser and device type
- Pages viewed and referring website
We do not use Google Analytics, advertising trackers, or any tool that builds a profile of you across sites. See Section 5 for details.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and discuss your insurance needs
- Obtain quotes from carriers and bind coverage on your behalf
- Service your policies, including renewals, updates, and invoices
- Send you important communications related to your coverage
- Understand how visitors use our website and improve our Site
- Comply with legal and regulatory requirements
- Prevent fraud and protect our clients and our business
We do not use your personal information for purposes unrelated to insurance services without your consent.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only as necessary to provide insurance services or as required by law.
Insurance Carriers
To obtain quotes and bind coverage, we share relevant information with the insurance companies whose products we represent.
Service Providers
We may share information with the third-party vendors who help us operate our Site and business. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and we use Cloudflare's services for content delivery, cookieless web analytics, and form spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile). Contact-form submissions are received and stored on our own systems; we do not route your inquiry through a third-party form service. Service providers may only use your information to perform services on our behalf.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our clients or business.
Business Transfers
If our business is sold or merged with another entity, your information may be transferred to the successor business.
What We Do Not Do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with unaffiliated companies for their own marketing purposes.
5. Cookies and Website Analytics
Our Site is built as a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages and is designed to minimize tracking. We do not use advertising cookies, and our analytics are cookieless — so no cookie-consent banner is required. We describe our limited use of cookies and similar technologies here for transparency.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website.
Technologies Used on Our Site
- Essential / security: Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies or tokens to protect the Site, route traffic, and verify that contact-form submissions are made by a human (via Cloudflare Turnstile). These are required for the Site to function and to defend against abuse.
- Analytics (cookieless): We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate visitor traffic. It does not set cookies, does not use local storage to track you, and does not fingerprint or profile individual visitors.
We do not use Google Analytics, advertising/retargeting pixels, or preference-tracking cookies.
Your Choices
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through your browser settings. Because our analytics are cookieless, blocking cookies will not affect our measurement of aggregate traffic, though disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect security features such as form submission.
6. Notice to Financial Service Consumers (GLBA / Indiana 760 IAC 1-67)
As a licensed insurance agency, Kelly Dorsey Insurance Services is a financial institution subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and Indiana's implementing regulation, 760 IAC 1-67. Federal and Indiana law give you the right to know how we collect, share, and protect your nonpublic personal information.
What Is Nonpublic Personal Information (NPI)?
NPI is any personally identifiable financial or insurance-related information we receive from or about you — such as information from applications or forms, your policy and coverage details, or claim-related information.
Categories of NPI We Collect
We collect NPI you provide on inquiry and application forms (such as name, contact details, and information about the property, vehicles, or business to be insured), as well as information we receive from insurance carriers and consumer reporting agencies as needed to place or service your coverage.
Categories of NPI We Disclose, and to Whom
We disclose NPI to the insurance carriers and their representatives whose products we represent, in order to obtain quotes and bind and service coverage, and to service providers who assist with our operations under confidentiality obligations. We may disclose NPI as required or permitted by law (for example, to prevent fraud or in response to a legal request).
Former Customers
We treat NPI about our former customers with the same confidentiality and security as we apply to current customers, and we do not disclose it except as permitted by law.
Your Right to Opt Out
We do not share your NPI with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing purposes, and we do not sell it. Because we limit our sharing to what is necessary to place and service your coverage and to disclosures permitted by law, no action is required on your part to limit our sharing. If our practices change, we will notify you and provide an opportunity to opt out as required by law before sharing NPI with a nonaffiliated third party for non-service purposes.
How We Protect Your Information
We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards consistent with applicable federal and Indiana regulations — including encrypted storage of submissions, restricted access limited to authorized personnel, and secure, self-hosted handling of contact-form data — to protect your NPI from unauthorized access or disclosure.
7. Text Message and Email Communications
If you provide your phone number or email address and agree to receive communications from us, we may contact you by text or email about your insurance needs, policy updates, and renewal reminders.
- You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly.
- You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us.
- We comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Indiana's Telephone Privacy Act, and the CAN-SPAM Act. We do not contact you by phone or text without the consent required by law.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction — including encrypted, self-hosted storage of contact-form submissions and limiting access to authorized personnel. However, no method of data transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide insurance services, fulfill legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Contact-form inquiries that do not result in a service relationship are retained only as long as needed to respond, and are then deleted on a routine schedule. For active clients, we retain records for the duration of the policy relationship and for such additional period as required by applicable law.
10. Your Rights and Choices
You may contact us at any time to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of any inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information, subject to our legal and regulatory obligations
- Opt out of marketing communications
Indiana Residents
Indiana residents may have rights regarding their personal information under Indiana law. Please contact us for more information.
California Residents
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request its deletion, and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To submit a request, contact us using the information in Section 13 below.
11. Children's Privacy
Our Site is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently received information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
12. Third-Party Links
Our Site may contain links to insurance carrier websites or other third-party sites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of our Site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
